• ≥ 110mm extension beyond Reveal of each side^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (a) (i)}
• Attached to the Window & Wall Framing^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (a) (ii)}
• Top & bottom of opening drains to^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (a) (iii)}
• Exterior Wall Face or,
• Cladding
• Flashing Joins
• ≥ 75mm overlap in the direction of flow^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (b) (i)}
• ≤ 40mm Fastener intervals^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (b) (ii)}
• Sealant provision between laps^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (b) (iii)}
• Flashing Method suitable for^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (c)}
• Framing & Cladding used
• Window Reveal or,
• Any Architraves or,
• Finishing Trims
• Flashing to the Top of an Opening is not required if^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (d)}
• Eave width of Cladding above the opening is more than 3x the height
• ≥ 25 mm secured Fixing on Flashings^{NCC 2022 HP, 7.5.6 (e)}
• Under the Cladding & extend over the ends
• Edges of the Framing of the opening

• Required materials following AS/NZS 2904^{AS 2047:2014, 6.6}
• Prevent water from
• Entering into building^{AS 2047:2014, 7.2.2 (a)}
• Crossing building cavity^{AS 2047:2014, 7.2.2 (b)}
• Direct water outward through the Cladding^{AS 2047:2014, 7.2.2 (c)}
