Comfort / Climate & Weather Risk Maps

1 min read 27 September 2024

There are major risk factors when we design & build anything. Trouble is most of these factors are difficult to integrate because they can’t be found / are all over the place in the Codes.

Let’s get used to using all key factors that ‘weatherproof’ our work:

    • Wind is the major risk i.e. cyclone, storm forced water entry, pressure differentials etc
    • Temperature affects comfort & carbon cost. It makes the correct installation of sarking & insulation very important
    • Rainfall needs management & often engagement of an Hydraulic Engineer to manage larger roof drainage & uncontrolled overland flows.

Stay tuned as Tools™ make other Risks such as Termite, Seismic, Acoustic  & Corrosion more easily findable.
