Bath installation is one of the most complex activities for tradesmen. It involves high level technical skills including:

• waterproofing under the bath even if AS 3740 does not require it
• correct support of ALL sides of the bath – imagine it is full of water
• waterstop angles under the bath rim to stop water leaking under the bath
• correct bedding of the weighed down bath will save you an embarrassing $8,000+ mistake
• 1:80 slope on ledges prior to waterproofing – yes, this is required even if difficult to do
• mitre cutting of external corner tiles is not recommended – they are easily damaged / can injure occupants
