Fire / Fire Sprinklers / Staggered Spacing

Please wake up from your hols everyone …… because buildings are complex and need YOU to know the technical stuff – especially with Services, Fire & Waterproofing.

 

I’m staggered at the errors with the basic placement of sprinkler & detector heads – whether initially installed incorrectly or, at worst, not defected by the Supervisor responsible for the entire job.

Even if there is an RCP (Reflected Ceiling Plan) ….. no one may have told the Designer that something has changed which impacts on the compliance of the system e.g. column moved.

 

It is so easily to place sprinkler heads in the wrong location ….. and …. ‘Hey presto!’ ….. everyone looks silly when expensive finishes are torn down to move a the heads to the correct position so you can get OC ….. and get paid.
