Get to the top of the Formwork Class!

I look at concrete on every job. Formwork doesn’t help concrete durability. However, it is the main factor in how good it looks. And I’m over squabbling with Contractors about what looks reasonable.

Mavie has created the Formwork Class’ometer for all of us so you can explain the minimum standard you want on all very visible surfaces.

Tips that matter:

• know what will always be seen and ask for Class 1 for all well-lit, visible work visible e.g. entries
• new boards for soffits of ramps and balconies
• DO NOT allow steel staples / bar chairs ANYWHERE
• support EVERY sheet joint
• agree on onsite colour samples prior to major jobs.

Concrete lasts a lifetime. Good looking concrete tells the world how good a Contractor you are.
